Michael Pollan is the author of seven previous books, including Cooked, Food Rules, In Defense of Food, The Omnivore’s Dilemma, and The Botany of Desire, all of which were New York Times bestsellers. In 2010, TIME magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Michael now turns his attention to the psychedelic renaissance in his most recent book, How to Change Your Mind: What the New Science of Psychedelics Teaches Us About Consciousness, Dying, Addiction, Depression, and Transcendence. The book not only documents the characters behind the recent boom in psychedelic science, but Michael also provides very personal first-person accounts of his own psychedelic experiences.
Join us for an in-depth chat with Michael, in person in San Francisco or online via livestream.
Hosted by Mike Margolies, and featuring an opening set by Adam Strauss of The Mushroom Cure, currently running in Berkeley through June 16.
